Solana Network Reliability Deterioration
Solana's on-chain metrics are deteriorating despite impressive technology, suggesting the network is losing real usage momentum

"Data from DeFiLlama shows that the Total Value Locked (TVL) on the Solana blockchain has dropped from $8.19 billion to $4.85 billion at the time of writing. The TVL in terms of SOL value has also declined from 75 million SOL on June 7 to 63.84 million SOL at the time of writing, suggesting that network users have withdrawn 12 million SOL from various DeFi protocols."
"The Aug. 17 target date for starting Agave 4.2 mainnet feature activations arrived without a confirmed delivery update... The empty field does not prove a delay or rule out a later update. It means the target date alone cannot establish that a feature gate is live."
"The blockchain has built a reputation as a faster and cheaper alternative to industry leader Ethereum, but has faced several outages in the past."

"Monthly active users fell to a two year low of 34.1 million, fees dropped 50% since January, and total value locked collapsed 56% to $5.5 billion. The technology is real. But the on chain picture tells a different story."
